Leaders from the University of Arkansas Fort Smith, the city, and Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson were among the many in attendance on April 27 as the UAFS celebrated the grand opening of its new Center for Economic Development. Located at The Bakery District in historic downtown Fort Smith, the center “will serve the River Valley as a destination for workforce and personal training, planning, and advising through the Center for Business and Professional Development, Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center, and the Family Enterprise Center,” according to UAFS.
