The Poteau Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with The LeFlore County Historical Society and The New Dewey District, was awarded a grant for $50,000 from T-Mobile. Poteau was one of only 250 communities to receive a “Hometown Grant.” The funds will be used to build a new Downtown Dewey District, beginning with the Pocket Park, which will be used as a multipurpose event outdoor area.
