The Arkansas Economic Development Commission (AEDC) announced that Arkansas has been named among the top 10 states in the nation for having the highest number of micropolitan projects.
U.S. Air Force selects Fort Smith’s Ebbing Air Force Base as site for long-term pilot training center
Ebbing Air force Base has been selected by the U.S. Air Force to be the long-term pilot training center supporting F-16 and F-35 fighter planes purchased by Singapore, Switzerland, Poland, Germany and other countries participating in the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program. It is estimated that the mission will bring approximately 900 military members and their families to the greater Fort Smith Region.
