Nearly 200 leaders and citizens gathered for the groundbreaking ceremony of a new 2.8 million cubic foot Compass Cold Storage facility in Mulberry on April 20. According to the company’s release, the Compass Cold facility was designed and developed by industry leader, Ti Cold of Melbourne, Florida. “It will be an economic driver for the state of Arkansas. The new facility will have the capacity to support food wholesalers, retailers, and food manufacturing customers in central and northwest Arkansas.” The company anticipates being open by January 2023 and hopes to employ 25-30 employees at that time, with that number to increase over time.
