Love’s Travel Stops (Love’s) opens its first new store of the year in Alma, Arkansas, bringing jobs and services to Crawford County. The new Love’s, located at 8060 State Route 282 (Interstate 49, Exit 24), opens for business today, adding approximately 60 jobs to the area.

“With its proximity to Fort Smith and Fayetteville, Alma is a great location for Love’s to serve residents, leisure travelers and professional drivers along Interstate 49,” said Tom Love, founder and executive chairman of Love’s. “We look forward to becoming part of the community, serving Customers in Alma and providing them with the ‘Clean Places, Friendly Faces’ Love’s is known for.”

The 10,000 square foot facility is open 24/7. It features Chester’s Chicken and Subway restaurants, laundry capabilities, gourmet coffee, fountain drinks, gift items, name-brand snacks and more. Professional drivers can take advantage of 55 truck parking spaces, showers, a Love’s Truck Tire Care center and other driver services.

In celebration of the new store, Love’s will hold a ribbon cutting in conjunction with the Alma Chamber of Commerce at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 31. During the ceremony, Love’s will present a $2,000 donation to Stepping Stone, an organization providing services to people with developmental disabilities and their families.
