Located on Interstate 40, Ozark is the largest city in Franklin County. Highway 64 serves as Ozark’s primary commercial street, running east to west through the heart of the city. Busy Highways 23 and 219 travel north and south of Ozark. The city is situated on the Arkansas River, just 40 miles east of Fort Smith.

Ozark (Aux Arc) means “Big Bend” of the River. The city, located in Arkansas’ beautiful wine country, is within a short driving distance of a number of wineries, including Mount Bethel, Wiederkehr Village, Post Familie Vineyards, Chateau Aux Arc, and Dionysus Wine. Thrill seekers will enjoy adventures on the Mulberry River including stops at Turner Bend or floating out from Byrd’s Landing. Mulberry Mountain also offers many options for outdoor lovers including hiking, lodging, and fishing. The site also is known for its incredible scenery and event venue options.
