Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson was in Fort Smith on Monday for the announcement that Arkansas-based manufacturer Hytrol will expand its operations by opening a new facility in the River Valley. The company will invest more than $20 million into the project which is expected to employ up to 250 people within five years. According to Talk Business & Politics, “Hytrol manufactures conveyer belt systems and other material handling systems for a wide variety of businesses, including those involved in the booming e-commerce sector.” The new facility will be located in 300,000 square feet of the former Whirlpool property.
