FSRA Partner: Poteau

Poteau is located approximately 25 miles southwest of Fort Smith and serves as the seat of LeFlore County. The town is a great blend of historical charm and progressive industries. The city is home to the “World’s Highest Hill” and plays host to the celebrated Poteau Balloon Fest each October. Poteau has repeatedly been recognized among the “100 Best Small Towns in America,” and one of the “Top 200 Towns” for outdoorsmen, hunters, and anglers by Outdoor Life Magazine.
